The weather is warming up a bit and into the double digits - on the plus side of zero! Basking in the Colorado sun, I hit the slopes scouting the edges of the runs seeking some fresh turns. I know it's been a few days since the snow, but I found some freshies and some super soft bouncy moguls to play on.
I can go on about all the things I love about Copper, but in a word: variety. There is never a shortage of things to do and people to watch. The racers are still practicing for the upcoming Olympics in Russia, hoping to gain a spot on the podium. We have teams here from around the world. These guys and gals ski really fast!
Athletes are also training for adaptive sports, running gates and shredding the slopes.
A photo I was not able to take was at the half pipe today. We are just a week away from the Grand Prix, an Olympic qualifying event for the half pipe, Dec 18 - 22, 2013. Check out the schedule!
There are lots of things to love about Copper, but variety sums it up. Get out there and play!
