This morning I headed out early - before 7 am - to pick up cleaning supplies, a clock and a mirror for the studio. I was amazed at the number of people shopping! Apparently, and unknown to me, a pre-designated times special "Black Friday" deals were available and I was in the middle of them!
I left the store with a new mop, dish soap, a clock and a lamp. Switched on the radio and learned about "Plaid Friday". Perhaps it is only a Summit County term, I'm not sure. But it is an effort to shop local. I like it. At the studio I set up my lamp, which I discovered was broken. I put batteries in the clock, which was not working properly. I chuckled and remembered "Plaid Friday". I had purchased these items at a box store. A box store with a ton of people at 7 am that I will have to go to again to return the broken items. I will replace those at a locally owned retailer. I will shop "plaid"
